The UK government has developed the Cyber Essentials Scheme to provide a basic set of technical controls that organisations can apply to reduce their vulnerability to cyber threats.
Certification & Badges
There are two levels of certification an organisation can achieve:
Cyber Essentials
The scheme uses a self assessment questionnaire, that can be sent to an accredited body for review and certification.
Cyber Essentials Plus
The Cyber Essentials Plus scheme goes a step further and requires the certification body to independently test and verify the technicals controls.
Government Requirement
From 1 October 2014 the UK government requires all suppliers bidding for certain sensitive and personal information handling contracts to be certified against the Cyber Essentials scheme.
Adopting the requirements of the Cyber Security Scheme will help you achieve good information security governance in general and should be considered regardless of external commercial factors.
Cyber Essentials Scheme Consultants

When all the controls are in place we can help you work with a Certification Body to your required certification level.
