The four principles of ISO 24495-1:2023
The four principles of ISO 24495-1:2023 are:
- Relevant – Readers can get the relevant information which they require.
- Findable – The information needed is easy for the reader to find.
- Understandable – The reader can easily understand the information which they find.
- Usable – The reader can use the information easily.
This includes reader’s objectives and creating a document with relevant content and structuring the document in a usable way, for example using subheadings to make the sections identifiable and therefore findable.
Using familiar words to the reader and clear, concise sentences also makes Information easier to understand.
Documents should be evaluated before publication and reviewed after publication to check for compliance.
