Summary:
A majority of the provisions of the Companies (Corporate Governance, Enforcement and Regulatory Provisions) Act 2024 come into force with effect from 3 December 2024. The Act will enhance and amend the legislative framework provided by the Companies Act 2014 in the areas of governance, administration, insolvency, enforcement and supervision.

The Income Tax (Indexation of Blind Person’s Allowance and Married Couple’s Allowance) Order 2025
Summary:
This Order fulfils the indexation requirements in section 828A (indexation of the fixed amount and the amount per adult and child) of the Income Tax (Trading and Other Income) Act 2005 (c. 5) in respect of qualifying care relief amounts, which are increased by reference to the consumer price index. This increase has effect for the tax year 2025-26 and subsequent tax years.

The Deposit Scheme for Drinks Containers (England and Northern Ireland) Regulations 2025
Summary:
From 1st October 2027, anyone in England or Northern Ireland who is supplied with a container drink to which these Regulations apply must pay a deposit to the person who supplies them with that drink, and a person who returns an empty container to a collector will be entitled to a refund. Under the scheme it will also be possible to return and claim a refund for certain empty containers from drinks which were purchased outside of England and Northern Ireland.

The National Security Act 2023 (Consequential Amendment of Primary Legislation) Regulations 2025
Summary:
This instrument amends the Welsh language version of the Public Services
Ombudsman (Wales) Act 2019 to reflect changes made last year to the English

Primary Legislation) Regulations 2023.

The Data Protection (Charges and Information) (Amendment) Regulations 2025
Summary:
This instrument amends the Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018, S.I. 2018/480 (“the Funding Regulations”) to increase the data protection charges payable by controllers to the Information Commissioner (“IC”) across all tiers of the charge structure by 29.8%. There are no changes to other aspects of the Funding Regulations, such as the discount for direct debit payments and the exemptions from paying the data protection charges.

The Income Tax (Additional Information to be included in Returns) Regulations 2025
Summary:
These regulations specify information on start and end dates of self-employment, which the self-employed are required to provide to HMRC via their Income Tax Self Assessment return, and additional information about dividend income which directors of owner-managed companies are required to provide to HMRC via their Income Tax Self Assessment return.

Summary:
These Regulations bring into force on 1st February 2025 all the provisions of Part 2 of the Finance (No. 2) Act 2023 (c. 30) (“F(No. 2)A 2023”) that are not already in force by virtue of section 120 of the F(No. 2)A 2023 or the Finance (No. 2) Act 2023, Part 2 (Alcohol Duty) (Appointed Day, Savings, Consequential Amendments and Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2023 (S.I. 2023/884).

The Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (Digital Securities Sandbox) (Amendment) Regulations 2025
Summary:
This instrument amends the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (Digital Securities Sandbox) Regulations 2023 (“the DSS Regulations”). It modifies the effect of the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 (“MLRs”) and makes other minor amendments to the DSS Regulations.

The Data Protection (Law Enforcement) (Adequacy) (Isle of Man) Regulations 2025
Summary:
In practice this means that the Isle of Man provides an essentially equivalent level of protection for personal data, transferred from the UK to the Isle of Man, for law enforcement purposes, to the level of protection provided by the UK itself. The Data Protection (Application of the LED) Order 2018 sets out the data protection framework that governs how competent authorities in the Isle of Man
process personal data for law enforcement purposes.
