In June 2011 ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) launched an International Standard for Energy Management, ISO 50001:2011.
The standard uses the same plan, do, check, act model as other management systems and aligns with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Requirements of the standard include measuring an energy baseline, setting energy performance indicators and consider improvement opportunities.
Organisations that implement the system can benefit from energy efficiencies, reduced energy costs, improved public image and compliance with environmental legislation.
Assent Risk Management is seeking expression of interest to test and evaluate an ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management System either as a stand alone, or as an extended part of an existing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Our consultants will implement the system to the required standard of a certification body at a discounted project price. Your organisation will then be used as a case study to demonstrate ISO 50001:2011 implementation.
